Greetings from Berrien Springs

by Robert C. Myers and Leo Goodsell

Greetings from Berrien Springs is a pictorial history, the first-ever about the village, featuring nearly three hundred photographs, maps and prints. Most have never before been published.

Greetings from Berrien Springs provides a visual and narrative history of the town founded in 1831 by settlers from Pennsylvania and Ohio. Serving as the county seat of government from 1837 to 1894 the village still boasts Michigan's oldest county courthouse, now the 1839 Courthouse Museum, and is home to Andrews University.

Chapter titles include Early History, Downtown, Domestic Architecture, Agriculture, Transportation, Schools, Churches, Leisure, Industries, and Andrews University. Each chapter begins with introductory narrative that provides a history of the topic area as it relates to its development in Berrien Springs.
