Box 261 Berrien Springs, MI 49103 Tele: (269) 471-1202 THE GREEKS OF GRAND RAPIDS AND BERRIEN COUNTY Thursday, Jan 9, 2003, 6:00 p.m., "Greeks of Grand Rapids & Berrien County" at the 1839 Courthouse Museum, 313 N. Cass Street, Berrien Springs, Michigan. Paul Chardoul, past project director of "The Greeks of Grand Rapids," will speak about the Greeks of Grand Rapids and show archival photos. Chardoul served as project director from 1982 -1986 of a major exhibit of Greek-American Immigration History in Grand Rapids. (Funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Dr. Elaine Thomopoulos, project director of the "Greeks of Berrien County," and Leo Goodsell, BCHA executive director will speak about the Berrien County Greeks. Discussion will follow, including a comparison between the Berrien County and Grand Rapids Greeks. The presenters will show archival photos and finish with audience discussion. These programs explore the history of the Greeks of Berrien County, Michigan. They are co-sponsored by the Berrien County Historical Association, Annunciation and St. Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church and Columbia College Chicago and funded in part by the Michigan Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
