Fourteenth Annual Christmas Celebration
1839 Courthouse Museum

BERRIEN SPRINGS: The 1839 Courthouse Museum presents its fourteenth annual Christmas Open House from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on December 11, 2005. Admission to the museum is free. Tour the courthouse and sheriff's house decorated for the Christmas holiday season.

This year's activities include Jan Burda Band performing in the log house. As we often do, we will have the fire going in the hearth of the log house. Relax in front of the warm fire and enjoy a sampling of hot wassail and treats.

Our guest blacksmiths will give demonstrations throughout the afternoon. Visit the blacksmith to learn about the trade and to exchange stories.

Visit our museum shop offering a variety of gift items including: American Girls items, Old World ornaments; pickle ornaments; historical architectural items and book, children's toys, games and gifts; Greetings from Buchanan book; and other historical books about the area.
