Sunday in the Square Art Fair

The Courthouse Square Museum in Berrien Springs will be the site of an art fair Sunday, June 11, 2006 from 1-5 p.m.. The fair is the first in a series of Sunday on the Square events sponsored by the Berrien County Historical Association. Area artists, musicians and food vendors will be featured during the fair. The museum buildings will also be open to visitors.

The artists represent several art associations in the County. The musicians include The New Town Cryers and the Scottsdale Hometowners. Hot sandwiches, ice cream, snow cones, soft drinks and caramel corn will be available for purchase. Beth Fanning, chair of the event reported, "This is the first art fair sponsored by BCHA and our first Sunday on the Square program. We think it will develop into a major annual event at the museum because it includes something for everyone.."

The Berrien County Historical Association’s 1839 Courthouse Complex is located at 313 N. Cass Street (old US 31), in Berrien Springs, Michigan. It is the site of the Historic county seat and comprises the 1839 Courthouse, 1870s Sheriff’s Residence, 1830 Murdock Log House, Bennett’s Forge and 1870 Jail Plaza.
