The History Center at Courthouse Square in Berrien Springs will host a local author's day on Sunday, June 10, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Area authors will be on hand to autograph copies of their books and present a series of programs about their work. Admission and refreshments at the program are free of charge.

At 2:00 p.m., Grif and Barbara Cook of Niles will give a program about the M-1 carbine, based on their book about the World War II rifle produced in southwest Michigan. The Cooks have also written extensively about the history of the Dowagiac and Sumnerville areas.

Rick Rasmussen of Coloma will present his program about Paw Paw Lake history at 3:00 p.m. Rasmussen has published several books on the history of the resort communities around the lake, and is completing a new book about Sister Lakes.
